In a historical coincidence to his Milwaukee run, AJ's final Indy Car win at Pocono in 1981 also included dirt cars! In a bid to build car count during the CART/USAC feud that year 8 Silver Crown cars were entered into the race. None of them did great and only 4 finished the race, a best finish of 11th (18 laps down), but historically significant because it marked the last time an upright dirt car would ever compete in an Indy Car race. 🏁

Hello. The video is alright, but-would you please disable the background music on it? It's so extremely distracting and annoying, I don't even have the words for it. I would really like to hear your explanation and the the onboard sound, but I keep hearing the music instead. I don't know why music keeps popping up in informative and educational videos, it's some kind of a plague and a major bungle on UA-cam's side.

Don’t neglect changing the steering ratio immediately if the car is just driving on eggshells. Sometimes the difference between 8:1 and 10:1 is not liking a car and loving a car.

Excellent video. I guess I prefer the 1981 cars the best, followed by the late 80's wedges. I don't like today's side rollers no matter how fast they are.

Dirt late models were actually attractive in the early 1980's when the individual makes/models were identifiable to their street counterparts. They also sounded great with 180 degree headers. Shame so ugly today in appearance and with their flat exhaust note. Caused me to now patronize asphalt short tracks with stock appearing classes.

I have heard a comment that says that money should be used to fight poverty instead of being poured into expensive cars. I disagree because each team is a small business and I guess it allows the existence of many jobs, from food service at the racing track and many others. But I have no numbers to refute in terms of how much money is made and how many jobs are created and how money is distributed among them. Can you make a video on that? If you make it I would appreciate a reply to this comment in case UA-cam does not warn me.

The point of the video is to help beginners have a better understanding of NASCAR. Not to say that NASCAR is completely different from other motorsports such as F1.
